December 2017 was our largest volume month of the year, with 5 closed transactions and over $13 million in closed business!! Pretty amazing since December is traditionally a slow month in real estate-or so they say. Actually, it’s not slow, but many agents choose to take this time off. The truth is life doesn’t stop in December and neither do we!
The beauty of our team is that there are no days off. There is always someone working and covering our business. Most agents take December off- and sometimes January too. We do not. We plan for the next year. We contact our clients past and present to stay in touch, and reach out to potential new clients who are ready to buy or sell right away. We have found that working all months of the year maintains our status as the #1 real estate team in our community.
So here’s what happened in December:
10 Carver Lane in Sunol just closed escrow. This home is a one of a kind country estate, purchased last year by international clients who contacted us through our marketing. They reached out to us again this Fall when they found out that work was taking them back to Europe. They appreciated how we handled our first transaction with them-and truth be told, we’d become friends over the course of 2017. Buyers from the East Coast saw our marketing online and reached out to us to learn more about the property. Shortly thereafter, they made flight arrangements for the entire family to come out and view the home. Our team had a wonderful few days with them touring Carver Lane and our local community. And now they’ll be calling Carver Lane their new home.
7852 Foothill Lane just closed escrow. We originally listed this home at the beginning of 2017 and just before we went on the market, unprecedented rainfall swamped California. We put the listing on hold when Zone 7 Water district decided to make repairs to the creek running along Foothill Road and behind this home. When the work was completed in October, the sellers contacted us and we re-listed their home. It went into contract within 10 days! The buyer contacted us from our online marketing (there is a theme here!) on Thanksgiving Day and we showed him the property at 8:30am the next day. Our team worked hard for the betterment of the seller and the buyer on this transaction. This home and family are very special to us and we were honored to support them and to bring in a great buyer for their lovely home.
553 Santel Court in Ruby Hill also just closed escrow. Our Lead Buyer’s Agent, Lisa Desmond, met the buyers at one of our open houses in Ruby Hill and they have been working together for several months to find just the right home. The buyers loved Santel Court right away. It’s a small world in real estate sometimes-Liz, one of the team’s Senior Partners, knew the seller’s family very well, as well as the Listing Agent (we are a small town after all).
We are thrilled to have five great closings this December and even happier to have worked with such amazing clients.
What’s happening in January? We’re already assisting 3 families buy new homes for the New Year! All three will close escrow by the end of the month.
